Insight - Emory's new Comprehensive Grants Management System
Overview
INSIGHT is a comprehensive application to manage the grant and research funding process. INSIGHT centralizes IRB approval, contract management, regulatory compliance, study budgeting, and financial management into a single application.

In Phase 1, Insight will be used for:
- Intent to Submit: INSIGHT will replace prior Intent to Submit forms to alert RAS units of an upcoming proposal submission.
- Grant and Contract Processing and Management: INSIGHT will replace the eCTS and eGTS systems used by OSP to manage, track and provide metrics on the agreement negotiation, processing and set-up for incoming awards of all types - grants, contracts, cooperative agreements, incoming subcontracts, and any other mechanism.
- Contract Intake: INSIGHT will now be used to submit contracts of any types to OSP and other offices which manage these contracts, including confidential disclosure agreements, data use agreements, material transfer agreements, and other types of unfunded research collaboration agreements.
